    APPLICATIONS

All thread rod, also known as fully threaded rod, is a versatile fastener used across many industries. It features threads running continuously from one end to the other, allowing it to be cut to any length and used in a wide range of construction and fabrication tasks. In steel fabrication, it’s commonly used to anchor structural supports, secure steel assemblies, and suspend mechanical systems like pipe racks and ductwork. It’s also frequently embedded in concrete, used in tensioning applications, or installed through beams and structures with nuts and washers on either end to create strong, secure connections.

    GRADES

We offer all thread rod in several standard grades to meet specific strength and performance needs:

    • Grade 36 – Low carbon steel used for general-purpose construction applications.
    • Grade 55 – Medium-strength option, often used in structural applications that require greater load capacity than Grade 36.
    • Grade 105 – High-strength all thread rod designed for demanding structural and seismic conditions.
    • ASTM A193 Grade B7 – A high-strength alloy steel commonly used in high-temperature or high-pressure applications, such as refineries, power plants, and heavy industrial settings.

Each grade has unique mechanical properties to meet the engineering and safety requirements of different environments.

    COATINGS

To ensure long-term performance in a variety of conditions, our all thread rod is available in multiple finish options:

    • Plain Finish – Uncoated steel suitable for indoor use or environments without moisture or chemical exposure.
    • Zinc Plated – Provides light corrosion resistance, ideal for indoor or sheltered installations.
    • Hot-Dip Galvanized – Offers superior corrosion protection, making it the best choice for outdoor, marine, or harsh chemical environments.

Choosing the right coating depends on the specific exposure conditions of your project and the desired lifespan of the connection.

    MANUFACTURING

All thread rod is manufactured in continuous lengths with uniform threading that allows for easy cutting and adaptability in the field. Standard length offered is 12 feet, though rods can be custom-cut as needed. Common diameters range from 1/4 inch up to 3 inches, with threads that match standard nut and washer dimensions. Each rod is made to industry specifications, ensuring compatibility with structural steel, concrete anchoring, and mechanical support systems.

Because of its standardized design and wide range of customization options, all thread rod is a critical component in structural, mechanical, and civil construction projects.
